Bi-Lingual Advocate for Voices Against Violence
Voices Against Violence (VAV) is the local domestic violence and rape crisis program serving the greater Framingham and Marlboro areas. VAV services include counseling and support groups, legal and medical advocacy, emergency shelter, supervised visitation, community outreach and education, and a domestic violence high risk team. The Bi-Lingual Advocate provides support and safety planning to English, Spanish, and/or Portuguese speaking victims and survivors of sexual and/or domestic violence and their significant others.

Career Coach
Somerville Community Corporation is seeking a new member of our Economic Opportunity team to serve as a Career Coach through the First Source Jobs Program. The Career Coach will work directly with job seekers to provide soft skills training; access to other SCC programming, such as financial literacy and leadership development; referrals to other wrap around services provided by our community partners; and one on one coaching from job search through post-placement. The First Source team connects our participants with a network of advanced training programs and employers. The coach will work with the SCC team, including staff across the organization (in particular, community organizing), and community members to align program delivery with an evolving, shared vision. The coach will also help design and execute a pilot cohort training model, to be launched in 2017. The Career Coach will work under the supervision of SCC’s First Source Jobs Program Manager.

Community Outreach Specialist
A member of the Business Development and Community Engagement Department, the Community Outreach Specialist coordinates initiatives in a targeted geographic area (Greater Worcester, North Central and Metro West) designed to promote Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts health services and educational programs. With a commitment to addressing the impact of racism and other oppressions on sexual health, the person will develop relationships with community leaders and serves as the organization's liaison with various constituents through attendance at community events and coalition meetings. Conducts service overview presentations for professionals, community members, and potential patients with the goal of growing and diversifying PPLM’s patient and supporter base. Hosts information tables at conferences, health fairs and other community events to promote services and distribute materials. Integrate marketing campaign strategies and new service rollouts into outreach messaging.
